Dorothy and Wilf Turner offer you a warm welcome to South View Farm & Fishery. Idyllically situated amongst the rural rolling Devon countryside on the edge of the small tranquil village of Shillingford St. George, just 2miles from the A30 & A38 dual carriageways with excellent access to the M5.

Exeter airport and the Cathedral city are 15mins away, with a superb range of shops, restaurants, theatres and sporting facilities.

South View farmhouse stands within a beautifully landscaped garden. The delightful views of the surrounding countryside border the 3 coarse fishing lakes, a beautiful place to unwind. Relax and enjoy the peaceful naturel haven, with birds, wildlife, flora and fauna.

Guests have freedom to access their rooms at any time of the day whilst staying at South View.

The three guest bedroooms have views over the garden and lawn, are light, spacious and well presented, with comfort and cleanliness our priority. Inspected and approved by Exeter & Essential Devon Tourism Partnership.

  • Two large rooms; one double and one family both with ensuite.
  • One double with private bath/shower room immediately opposite the bedroom.

The accommodation is completely double glazed and centrally heated, with log fires to back up a chilly evening, ensuring you have a relaxing break when you visit us for business or pleasure.

We have free broadband wireless connection for your laptop.

Light refreshment is served on arrival, browse the menu for your choice of breakfast and decide a time you would like it cooked on the Aga. We serve locally produced food where possible and will cater for special diets if required.

Local country village inns and restaurants offer a good selection of food, for your evening meal.

Our aim is to give you a truly ' Devon' experience.

  • Exeter Cathedral, the historic quayside, arts , crafts and network of beautiful gardens.
  • RHS garden at Rosemoor and the botanical garden at Bicton in East Devon.
  • Nature reserves, bird watching in the Exe estuary, Exminster marshes, Dawlish.
  • Dartmoor and Exmoor National parks, and scenic coastal routes.
  • For the more adventurous the ' Jurassic Coast ' and a trip to the' Lost gardens of Heligan' or ' Eden ' all within a day.
  • Glorious safe sandy beaches at Exmouth, Dawlish,and Teignmouth all within easy reach.
  • Walking or cycling on the National cycle network from Exeter quayside or newly built routes at Haldon Forest.

Terms for Bed and Breakfast based on two people sharing a room.

Adults from £30 each per night (reduction for 2 nights or more).

Single room from £30.
